The University of Wyoming basketball team will be in an enlightened state this fall as head coach Allen Edwards announced the transfer of 6-10, 220 lb UTEP center/forward Broderick “Buddah” Jones. Jones will sit out the 16/17 season for the Cowboys but will have three years of eligibility left in Laramie. As a true freshman in El Paso Jones played in 16 games and averaged 1.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in 8.6 minutes of playing time.

Jones was a highly recruited high school player out of Lawndale, California where he was rated a four star prospect and a top 100 recruit by Rivals. He collected scholarship offers from UTEP, Arizona State, Florida State, Fresno State, Memphis, Nevada, San Diego State and Washington State.
