The final full week of football recruiting before the February 2nd signing day was a productive one for the Wyoming Cowboys. The Pokes received three verbal commits:

  • DB Caash Maluia of  Paramount, CA
  • FB Zach Taylor of Gillette, WY
  • TE Alec Stewart of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

Additionally, the university announced the hiring of Russell Dennison as the Director of Sports Performance replacing Zach Duval who left for the University of Central Florida. Dennison comes to Wyoming from the University of Oklahoma where he was the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Sooner football program the last five years. In his new role Dennison will run the Wyoming football strength and condition program while overseeing the strength and condition staffs for the other sports at UW. The Oklahoma native was a fullback for the Sooners from 2002-05 and began his duties at Wyoming on January 29th.
