Cowgirl soccer player Shaina Ashouri was named to the Mountain West 1st All-Conference team. Ashouri, a sophomore forward from Parker, CO, was the lone Cowgirl to receive the honor. Ashouri ranks third in the conference in goals scored with nine. During conference play she had three goals and six assists. She was named the Mountain West player of the week for the week of September 4th.

Another impressive feat for the Cowgirl was picking up a hat trick against Idaho State. Already as a sophomore she is sixth in Cowgirl history in goals scored in a single season and fifth in assists with seven. She also tied the single season points record with 25.

Two other Cowgirls picked up honorable mention honors from the coaches. Alisha Bass and Cassidy Entsminger were honored for their performance this season. Entsminger played every minute of every game from the second week of the season on. Entsminger had 38 saves on the year and has only allowed seven goals in her career.

The Cowgirls finished their season today with a 1-0 loss to Colorado College in the Mountain West tournament. The game was delayed due to lightning and resumed the following day.
