Today marked a historic day for the Cowgirl volleyball team. For the first time since 1994 the Cowgirls are ranked in the AVCA top 25 poll. The Cowgirls checked in this week at #25. The Cowgirls this past weekend won matches against Boise State and Utah State.
The Cowgirls, who are 12-2, 2-0 in the Mountain West, started 2-0 in Mountain West play for the first time since 2004. The Cowgirls started the season by beating Ohio State in Laramie, who are currently ranked #13 in the same poll. The only two blemishes on the Cowgirls record were losses to unranked Gonzaga and current #12 Kansas.
The Cowgirls will be on the road this weekend taking on San Diego State on Thursday and Nevada on Saturday.
