With all the football happenings last week during media days in Vegas a little piece of basketball information came out under the radar. The Wyoming men’s basketball team will play an exhibition game versus Fort Lewis College on October 31st at the Wind River Reservation with Wyoming Indian High School hosting the game. This event is part of a Nike program called N7 that looks to promote sports in Aboriginal and Native American communities of North America. Wyoming Indian High School enjoys their basketball and this game no doubt has come about because of the 2003 award-winning documentary Chiefs (click the link to view this film, it is well worth your time if you have not seen it) that followed the school’s state title season.
