The 2010 version of the Wyoming Cowboy football team stood at a crossroads on Saturday in Toledo, Ohio. A loss to the Rockets and the season would be pretty much over. A win and the team is right back in the thick of things in the Mountain West, and in the bowl picture. The Cowboys did what they needed to do and took down the Rockets of Toledo in some pretty unfavorable weather. About 500 Cowboy fans made the trip to Toledo to see the Pokes. The Cowboys got on the board first with a rushing touchdown from Alvester Alexander. They followed that up with a touchdown pass from David Leonard to fellow WR Chris McNeill. At that point the Pokes led 14-0. Two Ian Watts field goals later and the Cowboys had a 20-15 lead in the third quarter. At the end of the third the Rockets prepared to make a comeback when Alexander was tackled in the end zone for a safety. The Rockets punched in two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but the Cowboy defense held the rest of the way to give the Pokes a 20-15 win in Toledo.
Up next for the Cowboys is the #5 ranked TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, TX. The Horned Frogs are fresh off of a demolishing of Colorado State for their first conference win of the season. The Pokes will be looking to build on their momentum from Toledo  to upset the Frogs. The game is a 1:30 start.
