Stew Morrill offered UW job

Stew Morrill confirmed today that he was offered the UW job at the end of the season.. interesting, I guess..
Morrill: "There was interest, but there wasn't a lot of interest on my part. I've always said I would retire in Logan."

He was approached, that doesn't mean he was offered. I would call Stew to check his interest as well. I would also have called Gillespie too...

He is a great great coach and actually recruits Wyoming talent... Jaycee Carroll... Speaking of Wyoming talen the kid from Gilette Taran Brown is he pretty good?

The offer quote came from the SL Trib.. so I'm sure there's some truth behind him saying he was offered. Stew would have been a fine coach, but I dunno if he would have been what we needed..

Yes Taran Brown is a very good player, and a great kid from what i understand.

Fixed it for you. A Utah newspaper is hardly a source for factual journalism. As some have mentioned, he might have been asked about interest levels, but I doubt he was offered the job.
