Hmmm….what about nabbing Dunlap, and adding Cox as an assistant? I can see Dunlap or Dooley turning the program around, then possibly taking off as HC at a bigger school. That would leave a lot of room for Cox to get his feet wet at UW again as an assistant, and then come in as HC after Dunlap or Dooley leave. It’s the sameame picture people were trying to paint when we thought we had a chance at Gillespie.

Maybe it was Cox's in-laws who were the big donors who had a hissy fit that Schmoldt referred to concerning Gillispie.
And by the way he is a native of Colorado who went to high school in Wyoming when his dad was hired to coach high school hoops.

i'm sure mcpeachy will rip me a new one for this...but i'm not against cox coming to wyoming at all
at very least he should be able to recruit well considering how many places he's been and how much he loves wyoming maybe he can illustrate what he likes about WY to potential recruits

disclaimer: I could be wrong. I've done it before...I'll probably do it again.

what if we end up with cox/tinkle as coach and ass. coach....i'm pretty sure after a few years the ram fans would be able to come up with some funny quips for that one
