I think it all goes back to when he was drafted. There was a huge section of the national media which questioned his ability going into the draft. You do not have to look too hard to see that a lot of same pundits who did not like Allen as draft prospect, are still taking any chance they get to be critical of his play. Nick Wright in particular is one of the worst. Another is Jason Whitlock.
