I watched the dual because they wrestled at the journeyman duals. Nebraska did not have a good showing because they also almost got upset by UVA who Wyoming beat pretty handily. Iowa State and Oklahoma are also on the uptick, but since UNI and Wyoming don't wrestle it is going to be hard to judge. If Wyoming loses to Utah Valley I would be disappointed since Wyoming beat them 38-4 last year. I know we have some new wrestlers, but we have upgraded at HWT and 197. Jury is out on 149 and I would really like to see Dewey turn it on at 157.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:59 pmHuh? UVU dualed #12 Nebraska closer than the Pokes (15-19) and beat then #15 Rutgers 24-14. They also wrestled a really good and improved #11 dual ranked Wisconsin team close falling 17-22. I would say UVU has done pretty darn well in duals also beating 5 other unranked teams.

Our heavy weight seems really good.
Brian Andrews was the #1 rated JUCO last year at HWT. Verner was #1 at 125 two years ago. Hayden Hastings is going to be a really good wrestlers once he finishes some periods, but his ceiling is really high. 149 is down for Wyoming this year and Sam is having a hard time at 141, but I hope to see him turn it on. Cale Davidson at 197 is also good. I would like to see Greenwood or Zollman wrestle at 149, but Branch knows how to really coach these kids up

I think Sam did well against OSU, so I look for big things from him this tournament. I would really like to see Dewey come on 157. He pinned the NDSU heavyweight last year weighing in at 157, and also beat a 197.
