Seems alright, plus coached Fennis Dembo and has a proven record at each of his hirings.
Truth be told, I'll be happy with someone who has proven they can win, recruit, and coach.

Good grief, does Burman even have a clue what the hell he's doing, or any sort of direction for this coaching search?
Seems like every coach who's even remotely available is on his "radar" unless it's all smoke and mirrors.

I think Kennedy is an interesting thought. He has had some success getting to the NCAA tournamentgbpoke wrote:Good grief, does Burman even have a clue what the hell he's doing, or any sort of direction for this coaching search?

It's funny how as the search goes on, everyone's expectations are getting lower. We started with "Let's get a proven winner" to "Hey, this guy has seen some success in DII ball!"
Here is Kennedy's Record at Murray State (not D2btw) Includes an NCAA first Round win in 2009- 10. He coached at Wyo when Dembo was here.
Murray State (Ohio Valley Conference) (2006–present)
2006–2007 Murray State 16-14 13-7 T-2nd
2007–2008 Murray State 18-13 13-7 2nd
2008–2009 Murray State 19-12 13-5 T-2nd
2009–2010 Murray State 31-5 17-1 1st NCAA 2nd Round
2010–2011 Murray State 23-9 14-4 1st NIT 1st Round
Murray State: 107-53 70-24
He Also tooK southestern LA to the NCAA as well. I think he may be a proven winner.

I like this guy better than SHyatt, Ernie Kent, and Cox. He is rumored to have connections with Reggie Slater

I was exaggerating a bit when I said "DII". The point was that we're all starting to drop our expectations a bit and start thinking about guys that we would have turned our noses to a few weeks ago.

Not me. I'd be happy with a proven winner. Dunlap, Kennedy, and Gillespie are all proven winners and coaches. And I think the fact that Kennedy has taken more than 1 school to the NCAA since becoming a HC (lets not forget helping the Pokes out in 87-88), is a pretty good thing in my book. I would have been happy with Billy G., and I would also be happy with Dunlap, but Kennedy's record isn't something to scoff at either.kdwrightuwyo wrote:I was exaggerating a bit when I said "DII".
