Peasley gonna go hang w/ the Jets, probably supplant Aaron Rodgers in the process.

Cole Godbout has a couple of opportunities with the Chiefs and Titans

Crum and Gibbs have a legit shot at making the practice squads.

I agree. The other guys are probably going to be camp bodies.

The money for Crum also pretty much guarantees he will stick with the Broncos in some capacity unless he entirely flames out.

I think Crum could make a roster. His guaranteed money exceeds that of 6th and 7th round picks.

Would another year have changed the outcome for Easton Gibbs? Or was his ceiling the UDFA tag?

Probably not given how few G5 players were drafted. He may have had better luck had he transferred to a P5 school.

Unfortunately, true and not a good omen for keeping established, quality players in the program longer-term. I suspect that we will see quite a few Jr and Sr transfers. This being the case, you wonder how long it will be before one of the Power Conference schools aligns with a G5 (or whatever the hell we are called these days) to serve as a sophomore program and build their bench of future transfers. I can see a day coming where a school contracts with a school like Wyoming to have Wyoming provide the rough carpentry work on their 3-4 star kids with the agreement that the kid will get a bag of cash to transfer after they are prepped for the big league. Roster counts may not matter going forward (at very least, my guess is they will be greatly increased), but even if they don't get rid of them, the big boys will need space and facilities to build their war chest of future "transfer stock". Once collective bargaining and contracts become more sophisticated, tying players to specific places and holding them legally and financially responsible for their contracting decisions, I expect you might see such arrangements increase in prominence. It could be a good run for teams like WYO that take advantage, but such an approach is largely antithetical to who we are and how we have seen ourselves. My view is that those that adapt are the only ones that might survive, however you define surviving.

I still think if you’re nfl talent, they’ll find you. It’s not that there’s no talent in the g5, it’s that the most likely pro players already transferred. Gibbs was an excellent player but let’s not kid ourselves. He’s not the player Wilson or Muma was.
Gibbs 22.5 tfl 7sk 1 Int
Wilson 34.5 tfl 7sk 10 int and 2 tds
Muma 19 tfl 5.5sk 3 int and 2 tds in essentially 3 seasons with the Ints and tds coming his senior season. I think being a tackling machine isn’t quite enough to get drafted. We’ll see. He’s getting his chance

Logan Wilson says otherwise.

I really enjoy reading LawPoke's posts. Well written, logical, concise. Perfect grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation. It's pretty obvious that LawPoke is an attorney, and unlike so many Americans, LawPoke paid attention in High School English.

He's just a dog. It wouldn't surprise me if he carves out some role in that organization.

I hope Peasley is able to stick somewhere. With how much heart he plays with, I would think some NFL team would love to have his influence and leadership on their practice squad.

It would be a positive influence on the team.

Hope he sticks on long enough to make some $$ and give himself a decent start in life.
