I will go check one or two out. I wanna see the Svoboda cannon up close.
So the spring game and one other scrimmage is open. NOt much different than Bohl.
Don't get me wrong, they can do whatever they think is best. And I am a lot higher than most here on Sawvel but lets not pretend this is something groundbreaking.

It’s 200% more opportunities for the public to see the Pokes than before

The public means the people but I really want the media to have a lot more access. It’s fun to watch nfl preseason. Theres spring training superstars that get hyped and never get to the field. Our reporters write the same stories from the same press conference I can watch online. I’d like them to observe and report. If Bohl didn’t mention someone, we’d never know they were playing well in camp.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 9:43 pmIt’s 200% more opportunities for the public to see the Pokes than before

My enthusiasm is dampened by the fact he couldn't beat out Peas.

I chalk that up to Bohls stubbornness vs Svobodas ability. But, we’ll see.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:58 pmMy enthusiasm is dampened by the fact he couldn't beat out Peas.

Well, Josh f-word Allen couldn’t beat out Cam Coffman. So yeah, I’ll side with Bohl always going with experience over raw ability.Itsux2beaewe wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 11:56 pmI chalk that up to Bohls stubbornness vs Svobodas ability. But, we’ll see.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:58 pm

Well, it is Bohl that kept Svoboda behind Peas. ALSO Peas did lead us to the most victories in 25 years.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:58 pmMy enthusiasm is dampened by the fact he couldn't beat out Peas.

While I think that Svoboda is the more physically gifted QB out of the 2, Peasley was an damn warrior. I don't think we win as many games as we did this year without his leadership.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:49 amWell, it is Bohl that kept Svoboda behind Peas. The kid showed a lot of grit. The throw while being hit low in the TT game was unreal. He was Cowboy Tough.WYO1016 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 10:45 amWhile I think that Svoboda is the more physically gifted QB out of the 2, Peasley was an damn warrior. Bohl started Peasley because Peasley had more experience and came to Wyoming when Bohl desperately needed a quarterback. Peasley played despite being injured and was leader so Bohl stayed with him.

but, did Svoboda have more skill? He looked pretty good against Texas. I’m not bashing Peasley, liked the kid, but Bohl has showed stubbornness going back to, JA, Chambers, etc. and not just with QBs.

Peas is a high character tough kid that played his heart out. He was the best qb in the room. I don't believe Bohl sat the qb that gave the best chance to win.
Svoboda has a strong arm but cfb is littered with big arms that didn't work. Maybe he is JA 2.0 and Bohl was holding him back. Maybe Bohl was 100% responsible for fewer than 200 yds/game passing and 30% on 3rd down. Maybe.
We'll see soon enough.

Good to read that Cody witnessed May making some good throws. Really need someone pushing Evan and be able to come in and win some games. Never make a full year with 1 qb.Itsux2beaewe wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 5:34 pm Good read, encouraging.
