I have zero inside information on this, but observing college football near and far... but if Grant was the hire at OC I think that would have been said today, at the same time at Bohl. That being said, if it's Grant we riot.

I agree with MrT. The fact an offensive coordinator wasn’t announced today points to a likely outside hire.

If Grant is the next OC, I'm staying off of here for a week to save my sanity. Rather be trapped in a stalled elevator or several hours with a bunch of BYU fans and a couple of rattlesnakes than put up with Grant's coaching. As we all know I loathe BYU and I have an extreme fear of snakes!!!!
I want CHAMPIONSHIPS not chicken poop! And we're getting chicken poop!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be very surprising if there is not someone from outside the program named and significant turnover among the offensive coaching staff. Polasek has probably already asked some of them to join him in NDSU.

This is the one position where I will be up in arms about an internal hire.
Sawvell was fine, and A. Bohl is a major case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Both deserve the opportunity and have good credentials.
The offense, however, has been beyond broken for years....it needs fixed, and no one on this staff is qualified for the OC position.
As for Grant....I'm already going to be severely perturbed if he even keeps his job. A promotion to OC? That would possibly put me in an insane asylum.

Rag thinking he's got everyone in some sort of "gotcha" as if the OC situation isn't completely different.

I don’t think Grant will be leaving the staff. He recruited the Houston QB after Bohl announced his retirement.

I hope we our offering our next OC and decent salary. Bohl's offense is hard to watch.

Peas showed significant improvement and the passing plays when called were decent. Play calling could be adjusted but just beat an outstanding Mac team. No sense in blowing up this progress. Better hire internally.
