Very nice. What do you think the outcome would be if you subtracted for turnovers and added for assists? Also part of the offense is offensive rebounds.

Yes you are correct. Everything I have seen, even with LWPER, 15 is considered average.

I am not sure which metric you are speaking in reference, but all three take into account turnovers and each weight is specific it its metric. As far as OReb, the PPPMP is total rebounds without specific onus on O or D. The other two do have their own specific weight for OReb and TOTReb. On PPPMP, I would expect to see guys like Herndon, Moemeka, and Jones to bump higher as they consistently seem to get a handful of OReb a game.

Here are a couple of stats the I find interesting. Some are obvious, some just don't tell the whole story, but here they go.
- Herndon has a the highest offensive rating on the team with Dalton a close second and just barely behind him for third is . . .Moemeka. All three have much higher offensive ratings than either Josh Adams or Larry Nance had in 2014-2015.
-Coincidentally Moemeka also has the team's best defensive rating.
-Hunter Maldonado has negative offensive win shares.
-Justin James has the highest usage rate so far by a healthy margin and second is. . . Louis Adams .
-Aka Gorski has more defensive win shares than offensive win shares.
-He is also behind virtually everybody but Maldonado on true shooting percentage
-as a team we are 22nd in the nation in 3 point attempts, but 227 in 3 point percentage.
-We are 12th in the nation in defensive rebounding and 295th in offensive rebounding

Sorry everyone, with the holidays and aggravation of never being logged in, I have stayed away from the board. I will get this updated either today or tomorrow before the Nevada game.

Here we are! Updated as of 01/03/18.

The trend I see that is most alarming is the continued decline of Aka Gorski. His minutes really should be reduced as well. Especially with the good play of Maldonado the last few games. Just my :twocents:

Kelly is god-like on offense, apparently. He does tend to score or assist on a very high % of his possessions

Aka Gorski's at the moment shooting under 30% from the arc on the season..... having attempted the 3rd most 3's on the team behind Dalton and Herndon. Pretty poor percentage from a guy who is supposedly the best shooter on the team. Not much reason to give him any burn when he brings absolutely nothing to the table except shooting....

Cody Kelly happens to have the highest 3 pt percentage on the team and has definitely earned the starting spot with his play so far.

The forgotten man for me seems to be Lou Adams.... has the 4th highest Player Efficiency Rating on the team, is arguably our most athletic player... and is shooting an impressive 42% from 3! 3rd best on the team.... also one of our better defenders, and on the season he is playing over 7 minutes per game LESS than Aka Gorski, who brings absolutely nothing to the table by comparison since his shooting has been so poor.

Seems pretty asinine to me...

Oh it is asinine. Edwards inspires little confidence. He can’t even play the right guys even when it’s painfully obvious

Same story different characters. Last year it was JJ not getting the minutes he needed, this year it’s Kelley and Adams. I don’t understand his thought process sometimes

Here are the current stats as of today, 01/10.

Man, Maldonado is moving on up. He has played really well most of the year but over the last two games you can see it starting to click for him. He is going to be a good player. On the other side of the spectrum, Aka Gorski continues to drop. He just doesnt have a place on this team if he can't make 3s. He is more of an anchor than anything else. Hopefully we see his minutes continue to dwindle.
