There we go - some credit!

I hope they even exceed the lofty expectations. This might be the best overall defensive line we've ever had?

I haven’t found a link, but Granderson is suppose to be ranked 8th best defensive lineman in the country.

Does that mean low scoring games this season? Teams have trouble scoring against Pokes because of great defense and Pokes have trouble scoring because (mainly) of Vigen.

Maybe Vigen will be rehabilitated over the off season.

Oregon game aside, they were as dominant as G5 DL's come.

TBH, if that group wasn't as strong as they are, I'd be calling for a rebuilding season of sorts. They're the lifeblood of this team.

Really excited to watch these guys blow up more offenses this season.

When was the last time a Poke fan could say that about a defense?

Del Wight's defense was a beast.

We definitely had a good defense in 1988, but I think we had better ones when Vic was the coordinator and today. It's hard to find stats on the defensive side of the ball for that season, other than they gave up just over 21 points / game.

We definitely didn't hold up against Houston and OSU. We also never could solve AFA in that era, we just outscored them.

I still have nightmares of that horrible 1988 Holiday Bowl. Barry Sanders deserved to be in every football hall of fame there is!!!!
