War Memorial Lights?

Post by WyoWrestler44 » Sat Jan 21, 2017 7:32 pm

Why are the stadium lights on all the damn time? The university has enough money to have them on when nothing is happening in the stadium? Maybe they could keep programs they're cutting or not raise tuition if they only turned the lights on for actual events. I know, I know... crazy talk!

A lot of stadiums do that. They have their lights on when nothing is happing on the field. Not sure why.

Probably to discourage anyone from being there when they aren't supposed to be. The field is too valuable to allow any vandalism. Also, several years ago a student from Casper was messing around in the stands at night (never did learn exactly what he was doing) and he fell to his death.

Kinda the same reason law enforcement encourages you to leave your porch light on all night.
If you think you've developed a fool-proof system you have underestimated the creativity of fools.
