Round two of Wyoming’s CBI journey is upon us as the Cowboys take on the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Washington. The Pokes are a slight underdog with Vegas favoring the Pac-12 school by three points. Wyoming will have every opportunity to come away from this contest with a win but they will have to play better defense than they did against North Dakota State. In terms of statistics the two teams are pretty evenly matched in FG%, FT%, and 3P FG% with the Cougars having a slight edge in scoring (68.8 points per game to Wyoming’s 63.3) and rebounding (33.0 boards per game to 29.5).

Wyoming seems to be the more battle tested team having played in a better conference resulting in a higher RPI and tougher strength of schedule. This game is on the road though and the Cougars are 10-4 in Pullman so Wyoming will have to play one of their most complete games of the year if they are to make it into the next round.
